An excursion to Iceland brought new views of the world—landscapes created by volcanic eruptions and melting glaciers were living collages with their dramatic edges between rock and greenery. The shifting of tectonic plates bent and pushed through the earth’s surface; bending, cracking, and pushing mountains further upward.
